2012 Duane Reade VIP Blogger – #DReade

I live in Ct but I’m in NYC at least two times a week. I often stop at Duane Reade to pick up little needed things. I looked at them like any other drugstore.  Tuesday July 5th, changed my whole view of Duane Reade. I attended a VIP party at their Wall St. store. I was not expecting to be in a “drugstore” and want to just walk around and stare at everything,  I couldn’t help it and gazed at the marble columns, chandeliers, and beautiful architecture this space in the Trump Building had to offer. From that day on, I was a faithful Duane Reade customer, not because the store was so beautiful but because I realized I can get everything I need in one place.

  Cosmetics

The cosmetic area had every brand from CoverGirl to Maybelline with specialty lines such as, Vera Moore and Gosh. Set up more like a department store, you can find your make-up brushes as well as have a virtual make-over done to show you which make-up is best for you. Doesn’t get easier than that!

  Hair /Nail Salon

You can also have your hair done at their salon or get a manicure at the nail boutique, which is in Rockefeller’s old office. Get your Rockefeller mani but at a great price!

 

 

 Candy Isle

   Of course I had checked out the candy isle to find the Smarties, which were placed in the   perfect spot.

Beer Section

They sell specialty local beer, which is important. With all the great pizza places in NYC, you need to be able to grab beer. Where else can you grab beer and the Tylenol for the morning after!!

  Departments:

pharmacy, Market Up (which is more like a mini grocery store), men’s, cosmetic, and others.

Virtual Greeter

  A hologram woman who greets you and from far away you would think she was real.

   So why am I telling you about Duane Reade #DReade? They’re looking for ten 2012 VIP Blogger brand advocates. I was required to write a post and I’m able to share at the same time why I pick to shop at Duane Reade. I think this pretty much says why I should be one of their bloggers!
